Weekend Recap: Home// Fair Date // Shopping

Friday: I worked most of the day. The end of the month is usually extremely busy for me. I am trying to close out the month and finish posting everything to send off. Hubby was off early and he napped with the fur babies. I was jealous

Saturday: We were up early and manged to get on the tread climber before we went to the fair. It was okay. It rained surprisingly for a little bit and it was chilly. It was the same as before but it's always fun to walk around and get out the house for a bit, but I had some of my sisters peanut butter filled pickle which was yummy.

My beautiful baby sister!

The handsome Hubs or the man behind the blog

I forced him to take a picture with me. He was complaining about his hair

Sunday: Baby girl had an appointment to finally get groomed. So we had to spend 4 hours in town. We got hubby's haircut finally, went to lunch at a sushi place, got the car wash and went grocery shopping.

Hubby with his hair cut. This humidity is killing me.

How was your weekend?

Friday Letters

Dear Printer, Please start working so I can finish my work. Ever since we replaced you, you haven't worked once correctly and it's really starting to get annoying.

Dear Hubby, I am so excited you are home now. I hope we can hang out this weekend like we planned last weekend. The fair date will be fun and Sunday will be good for us to get set for our week. We have 98 days until Mexico, it's not like I am counting. I love you more.

Dear 100 days, Let's do this! So far I am surviving. I just need to get the moving down but I am so excited to see where I will be in 100 days. I am hoping I am close to my goal. I am thinking of starting 30 day shred or chalean extreme again. any ideas on what I should start?

Dear Food, Why do you taste so good? I want to eat you all!

Dear Treadmill, We met again and secretly I enjoyed you. I am hoping to officially finish the C25K app.

Dear Work, I am so excited I am not at the preschool anymore. (I hope I don't have to go back in August) Hopefully this will help me catch up on you and do some extra work I have been wanting to get done.

Dear Readers, Thank you for the sweet comments this week. I hope ya'll have a great last weekend of June.

Enjoy your weekend

100 Days From Now

Today marks exactly 100 days until Hubby and I go on our vacation to Cancun to celebrate my 26th & our 3rd wedding anniversary.

So I figured it's time to get serious about this weight loss journey so I can be sexy in mexico. {even though i still need to book it} I am going to dedicate myself to IIFYM and my workouts. So any advice would be awesome as I am just researching and going by trail and error as I want to lose 40 lbs preferably.

IIFYM- If it fits your macros
What “eat whatever you want as long as it fits into your macros” means is basically, eat right, but don’t get all caught up in the whole ‘clean vs dirty’ food debate that seems to still go on. If you want to eat whole grain bread, oats, brown rice, etc. etc. Then do it. If you want to eat white bread, white rice, and pop tarts, as long as it fits in with your other macronutrients and your goals in terms of caloric intake then it isn’t going to make much of a difference in the long run. It all comes down to personal preference.- source

How I got my numbers: I used the calculator to get a base of my numbers. I also worked with Arkitty  (my trainers Gf & she is the sweetest, she does take online clients) to set it all in stone for the next few weeks to get the ball rolling with the weight loss.

I am going to be tracking my macros using My Fitness Pal. I am not paying the $50 for the year, I am just going to work with the free version for now. With that said, I might splurge and pay only if I really feel the need. I need to get better with my tracking, so my goal is to track all my foods for the rest of this week 100% besides Saturday when we head to the fair but I will try my best to eat protein based foods.

I am also going to be using my facebook fitness page alot more so be sure to go like it and follow along in the journey. Of course, I will be using insta as well.

To succeed at IIFYM:

1. Buy yourself a kitchen scale : I would highly recommend buying a flat one.

2. Weigh ALL food.

3. Meal Prep on one/two days a week. I am going to try to do all my meal prep on Sundays for M-F than Saturday the hubby and I will work together to build a IIFYM meal and sunday back at it again.

4. Plan ahead. I will log my food the day before for what I am going to eat so i have no excuse. I will also know I can hit my numbers and if I want a treat I can log it in and know I have something to look forward too.

5. Plan for yourself. If you like to eat 8 small meals vs 3 meals than do that. The best part of IIFYM is that it works for you because you make it work. There is no food off limits but just make sure it fits.

6. Do whatever makes you happy!

That is what I am doing, hopefully it works. 100 days from now I am hoping I will be much further in my journey and I can look back on this post for a smile.

I hope hubby and I can go hiking again soon but with the crazy heat we've been having I am not sure it's a good idea.

Baby Sister Turns 21 in Las Vegas

Oh Las Vegas.. What a fun weekend! It was blazing hot but totally worth it.

I can't believe it's already been a week since I have been home and trying to get back into real life.

When we go to Vegas, we go to have a good time! We stayed at Treasure Island and this was the first time we had a problem checking into our room. I was very unhappy with them but it all worked out in the end. I was still able to make a drink and hangout a bit. They did mention to us that they were sold out for the weekend.

My sister (the birthday girl), my aunt and myself drove the 5 hours to Vegas meanwhile the rest of my family and a few friends flew into Vegas since they all live in Minnesota and Florida.

The birthday girl didn't turn 21 until Sunday. So saturday after we all got settled into our rooms we just drank in there since I brought all of costco basically of drinks. She went out to the clubs after midnight with her friends.

Sunday we got a Cabana at the pool with the family. It was nice to not have to be in the baking sun all day knowing we had things to do that night.

Sunday night we had tickets to go see Thunder From Down Under. This was the 2nd time I've seen them and it was just as good as the first time.

We took a limo from Treasure Island to Excalibur with all 13 of us for dinner and the show.

We took the family to Dicks Last Resort. It was so funny seeing all their faces since most of them have never been and didn't understand why they were rude. Sister's hat said, "It may be my 21st birthday but candles isn't the only thing I am blowing tonight" and of course the balloon guy was there, so I had to have her get a man hat.

All 13 of us before the show.

Monday we all relaxed and got another cabana by the pool.

Tuesday we drove home.

Over all, the weekend was a blast with the family and being an all girls trip.

Happy Birthday Sister! Hope you had a great time in Vegas!

Guess Whose Back??

I can't believe it's already been a week since I was last here. Life lately has been crazy and extremely emotional. I am just about tapped out on the randomness happening in my life.

Ever since I left for Vegas things have been happening out of left field almost every day. As always though, I take it one thing at a time.

Well start at this past weekend.  It was a great one spent at home. My friend Michele came to visit me from Virginia so basically I have been on vacation since the 13th of June and it's starting to really show. The pants, the face, the house being a mess and laundry piling up. I am ready to get my life back in order.

Thursday I picked Michele up and of course she had to have jamba juice and in & out.

Friday I worked for a bit since I haven't been home for a week and work was the last thing on the to do list. After a bit and it got extra warm, we decided to hit up the pool. The pool and spa were both 98 degrees.

Saturday we had our annual family BBQ & Michele flew home.

Sunday was a bitter sweet. I woke up to no Michele & the Hubby is gone. I realized I really hate doing things without him. It's way more fun with your best friend who makes you laugh all the time.

So father's Day was spent grocery shopping, cleaning up after the family BBQ, laundry and meal prepping as my diet needs to get back on point.

How was your weekend?

Happy Birthday Baby Sister

I know you HATE this picture but we don't take new family pictures until later this year so you gotta live with it. That's the best part of being the older!

Dear Cy,

Happy Birthday Baby Sister!!
Yesterday you made your mark on the world.
You are officially 21 years old. I can't believe we can now go out to dinner and we will have to play paper, rock, scissors to see whose driving home.
I guess I could always just pull the I'm older than you, so I win card but I think the games way more fun.Plus, I think I owe you a few times since you have been driving me home safely for over a year.
Not to mention, you can actually order a beer with me and you can buy your drinks. #winning

I hope you had an amazing weekend in Vegas and it was everything and more you could ever want in a birthday weekend. I am not sure what you really want to be honest.
This is just the beginning of what the world has to offer so please take it slow and stop and enjoy the flowers. Enjoy long nights with family and friends drinking cold beer & telling stories and sleeping in just a bit to nurse a hang over.
Always say sorry to your liver though from what you did the night before and remember that spirit from fountain, a rodeo cheeseburger from burger king with tater tots from sonic is the best cure to all hangovers.

All jokes aside, I am so excited to watch you to continue to grow into a beautiful young woman that you are.
I know you will do amazing things with your life and the future is yours to explore.
I love you baby sister always!
I can't wait to celebrate your next milestones with you.

Happy 21st Birthday Baby Girl!!

Dear Friday, Why do I feel like you took forever to get here? I hope this isn't a sign of how summer will go because it's will be a LONG summer.

Dear Summer Break, I am not sure how I feel about you. I now really have to think how I plan things and what I am going to be doing. I know we will be spending lots of time at home and hopefully cleaning up the house.

Dear Hubby, I know you've been working so hard this week, thank you. I hope you have a relaxing weekend without me and you get to watch whatever you want in bed. Aren't you excited for that? You also owe me a date, just saying. I love you lots!

Dear Jetta, I can't believe you are really gone. You were the first car I ever bought when I was 16 and I drove you all through high school & college & some time after. We went on many adventures including teaching me to drive stick, sacramento a few times and fun 24 hour road trips to vegas. You were always there for me when I needed a good music blasting and drive soul searching.

Dear Bandit, I hope you aren't too mad at me for doing the surgery on you. You seem to do ok right now but I hope daddy remembers to give you your medication this weekend when I am gone. Just know I did it because I love you even when everyone else makes fun of you.

Dear Vegas, please be nice. My liver can't really keep up like it used too but I hope you sure are just as fun before grandma status kicks in and I go to bed before 12!

Dear Readers, Thank you for the sweet comments this week. As always I love hearing from all of  you. Please feel free to link up as well. We would love to have you.

Have a Fabulous weekend!

Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub Review

I am always on the hunt for a good body scrub. What lady doesn't love soft skin?

I have tried LOTS of body scrubs from bath and body works, organics, off brand names, name brands, you name it I probably have tried it at least once for my eczema

When I applied for the brand backer, the "Dead Sea Salt Body Scrub" it was exactly what I was looking for and more.

First thing I noticed is when I opened this product the smell was heavenly and it needed to be mixed back together. It wasn't a big deal, I just put my finger in it and mixed it up. My shower smelt like I was at the spa. I was just missing the massage and a drink in hand.

The Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub really does live up to its saying of removing dead skin and hydrating the skin.

My skin and feet have never felt better even after a pedicure. I will be using this scrub for a long time to come.

What is your favorite body scrub

This was a sponsor post by Brand Backer. I received the product to do a review but all opinions are 100% mine.

June Goals

I know I am a bit late on the goals thingy but no worries. Better late than never right?

Let's check back on my May goals first

+give up dr. pepper & drink more water : I I did awesome at this. I think I am ok with not having it anymore. To the point now that when I have it I get a serious panic attack..eek so I guess it's for the best to stop trying.

+workout 2x a week // not including my trainer BIG FAT FAIL! I did it like the first week than it was a hit or miss. Since I got sick in the middle of the month I didn't have much motivation for much.

+clean the great room // dinning room I cleaned the great room (I just need to go through my sweatshirts and get rid of old dresses) and gotta tackle that dining room.

+eat healthier + eat more green veggies // stop eating out - I think this was a positive. We def ate at home more often than not. So considering this a win.

+watch my spending - no more michael kors shopping sprees (save for Vegas & Mexico) -- I can say I didn't buy anything else after I wrote my goals so that is a plus.

+grow my blog & think of ways to improve it. (input is always welcomed- I think it's growing and coming together nicely. Now I am just thinking of a new layout and such :)

I think over all, May was a good month for me. Than again I know I picked goals that were attainable for me because I have failed so many other times.

June Goals:

+Watch the spending and try to pay off some debt ( I think this will be a goal each month until I have mexico paid for before we leave)

+Go on a date(s) with the hubby

+Clean the dining room

+Catch up on work at home

+Use twitter more often

+Take my sister to a bar (Now that she'll be 21 on the 14th)

+Eat healthier = no more ice cream trips

Never To Late For A Weekend Recap

What a busy weekend I had in prep for getting ready for Vegas this weekend. I can't believe Vegas is already here, I swear I was just planning it all out.

Friday: I was working and decided hubby and I need to go on another vacation. I miss this tan and the fun together. Not to mention he might be leaving for 6 months too sometime next year so it's much needed even more. Cancun here we come!

Saturday: The sister finally took the leap of faith and chopped her hair and added some purple to it. 4 hours later it was done, let's just say NEVER again will I go sit with her while getting her hair done.

The good news of being there, they offer up a pacifico. I just couldn't say no!

Sunday: It was a day of getting nails done, massages and running to the store to get all the stuff we needed. Than it was home to get ready for the busy week.

Just for fun because I missed yesterday.. Monday  I had one of my last days at the preschool. It's looking like I will be off all summer which will be amazing. Than I was off to my gym where we got our tanks to support the gym.If you are in San Diego area and looking for a gym, come check out Smash! Or if you are looking for online training, check out Arkittyy - she is super sweet and awesome.

Weekend Recap: Indy // Anchors // and More

Happy Monday ya'll! Where did this weekend go? I am thinking after last weekend, we should always have Monday off. Anyone agree?

Hello June. We are almost half way through 2015 already..eek anyone else freaking out?

The weekend was interesting to say the least. I felt like we didn't do anything but we got a lot accomplished.

Friday: I had to go into work which was pretty lame and a waste of my time. Since I had to wait 2 hours for my sister I decided to buy Taya Kyle's new book, American Wife and I am in love. I can't wait to finish it. Friday night Hubby & I went to bed early and watched some tv to relax.

Saturday: Hubby & I cleaned our great room. I still need to go through my purses and sweatshirts. I am tired of the rolly rack in the way.

I got this snap from my brother's gf & I miss this guy. My fur nephew Indy. I am happy to see though some things don't change if he's at our house and my brother's. He still loves his rocks.

We had to pick my sister's car up and went to costco. Than came home and made pollo asada tacos, rice and asparagus. I am on this new thing where we have to have a green with every meal. #sorrynotsorry for my bite, I had to try it to see if it was worth a picture.

While cleaning the great room I found this anchor clock I must of bought along the way. I have this obsession with anchors though & now I want to redo my entire bathroom in anchors sooner than later.

Sunday: Sister & I went to trader Joe's for the rest of the groceries we need for the week. It's sad that our fridge is this big and I will still say we have NOTHING to eat.

We did laundry, did my usual 3 things that I do every Sunday and even manged to change the menu board for the first time since we got it.

Meal prep is in full force. We are 13 days out from Vegas and 120 days until Cancun.

How was your weekend?
