high school graduation June 2012
Dear Cynthia,
Today is the first day of the beginning of a new life for you.
I could not be more proud of who you are becoming.
You have formed into a beautiful talent smart young lady.
Don't ever forget that.
Enjoy your move into the dorms.
Today marks 5 years ago for me and it feels like yesterday.
Make new friends. Cherish them.
Time sure does fly by and it moves faster the older we get.
Don't take it for granted.
Live out your youth.
I remember like it was yesterday you were born.
My baby sister.
The best friend I will forever have.
Someone I can always count on to be there for me.
you will always be my little twin.
don't ever forget that.
Know I am always here for you.
I just ask you a few things:
Make a name for yourself.
Stand up for who you are and what you believe in.
Make wrong decisions but learn from it.
Right decisions will get you far.
Live your life on the edge a little
Don't worry about what people think of you.
Always remember,
"Those Who Mind Don't Matter and Those Who Matter Don't Mind"
This is your life.
It will only be what you make of it
Make it the best as possible so everyone around you is jealous.
Never be jealous of someone, jealousy is an ugly trait.
You are worth it - this is worth it.
One day you will be sitting reminiscing on it all hopefully with no regrets.
It will get tough but buckle down and fight through.
Never lose sight of your dream.
you will reach it if you believe it.
Love yourself each and everyday.
Cynthia,
Enjoy your college experience.
Stay up too late and sleep through classes {just not too many}
walk through campus in your pajamas because your late.
drive until the sun comes up.
sleep all day.
Face your fears.
and live it up.
drink too much coffee
live off confetti cake
and party party party.
Most of all do what makes YOU happy.
I have the most faith in you that you will achieve all your dreams and goals.
You are smart. You are beautiful. You are worth it. Don't let anyone ever tell you differently.
NEVER SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN THE
BEST
I LOVE YOU.
your big sista always & forever.
ps.
always remember what I tell you,
Life is too short to wake up in the morning
with regrets. So love the people who treat
you right, forget about the ones who don't
and believe that everything happens for a
reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it
changes your life, let it.
Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

ReplyDeleteI love this. Such good advice. Advice I wish someone had given me 7 years ago (aaaah! How has it been that long?!). I so badly wish that I could go back and do it all over again knowing the things that I know now, but I know that I most likely wouldn't end up where I am now, and that's not something I'm willing to give up. Good luck to your little sis!
ReplyDeleteThis is the SWEETEST letter ever! Makes me wish I had a sister!!
