This is very true. It wasn't until recently that I started to take my workouts very serious and not skipping them. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I do get a "rest" day unexpectedly but I try not to do too many.
My goal is to lose this weight and look good in that swimsuit in the Caribbean!
In the last month I have been going to barre class. Now my class isn't a pure barre and we are a small group. My instructor doesn't yell at us and doesn't really call us out.
Now I know what you are thinking.. What in the world is Barre?
Barre class is best explained: A full body workout doing each move for 30 seconds to 1 minute long with a small amount of weight and than stretch it out. The biggest weight I use is 3 pounds (doesn't sound like much but it kills). The class is about 50-55 minutes long. **as always this stuff can vary base on your instructor**
In the month I have been doing barre I have noticed a huge improvement. I can now do a plank for 1 minute. I sit up straighter. My thighs are shrinking. I look forward to my nights in barre.
I would highly recommend barre class to everyone. It is a good way to do your weights without having to step foot into a weight room with gross guys staring at you.
My only advice is make sure it is one you enjoy. Find one that fits your personality. This is an awesome site to help you understand barre and expectations. I have heard horror stories of women going to barre class and you aren't allowed to talk and you hold a plank for 5 minutes and if you fall they call you out.
Remember your workouts should be something you enjoy and look forward to otherwise you won't do it again the next day.
