Easiest Present

I had this all planned out that I wanted to share what I have learned from the first 6 months of being married.. I can't believe our 6 months is Saturday but than I started to think that it hasn't even been 6 months so I will save that for another date! One thing is for sure though, I have learned more about myself in the last 6 months than I did in 23 years! 

The good news is, tomorrow FINALLY starts recapping the wedding kicking off with The Morning Of.... I know I know, 6 months later & I am finally getting around to it! I've been one busy busy lady!! 

Today I am here to share the most simple present & for all you new mommies out there... 

Ornament Dough

This will harden if you leave it out

Ingredients 

1 cup flour

1 cup salt 

1/2 water 

What you need

Mixing bowl

Mixer

rolling pin

Oven preheated to 250 degrees

cookie sheet 

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together in the mixing bowl with a mixer. Once it look as if its all mixed together, use your hands to finish making it like play-dough texture. Roll out on the counter about 1/2 inch thick. Firmly place hand or foot into dough. Place on cookie sheet and bake roughly around 20 minutes. 

** You can wait 2 days and leave out in the sun. One day for each side** 

You can make a hole anywhere in the dough before baking/letting dry to put string through to hang in the future.

Please take a bit more time than mine. I did it for class but I did use Eli's hand!

Weekend Update [V.14]

Monday.... I have one more Monday to make it through until we are off to our Honeymoon cruise.

I am ready for this vacation! 

but with that said, I am determine to make this Monday something different. 

I want to be the change I am so desperately wishing for. I want to truly change the habits I have created to do something different. 

Today is the day I will make all this come true. 

But before we get into all of that.. 

Back to this weekend, it was fun & relaxing just as I had hoped & dreamed about.

Friday

March 26 was one of my best friend's birthday & she finally had a birthday party...

 I look so fat but I did rock the new Tiffany & Co glasses.

My favorite Vegas Partner 

We left while Alex was drunk. Sometimes as the driver/wifey you just know the best times to leave before it got worse. 

Story time: I was walking outside to find Alex to leave, right when my friend Kristin [picture above] & I found him they were cracking up laughing. We had no idea about what. When we got in the car I finally got the story. Alex & Jacob {best friend's bf} were talking to some girls {jacob's house so of course he knew everyone} when one of them asked Alex for his phone number. Que me walking up at the RIGHT moment to her back & Alex looks at me & says why don't you ask my wife? Gave me a hug & started laughing. Girl thought he was lying about it all & still asked him what he was doing Saturday. He once again looked at her & said ask my wife. She immediately turned white & looked as if she stopped breathing & walked away! I couldn't help but laugh! 

Future Note: I mean if you are going to hit on my husband, at least be pretty & shower.

Saturday

I finally slept in until 10am! This was the most amazing feeling ever. Did some work & did some cleaning. Hug out in bum clothes! I love my Saturday's like this. 

I did manage to make an Order through American Pretty Boutique 

Cant wait to try it on & let you all know. 

Go make an order & tell her I sent you! 

I enjoyed a Nice cold Blue Moon orange included 

Sunday

I repeated my Saturday. What more could I ask for. 

I bummed it around the house. Did some housework. Did some homework. Did some work work. Even made it to costco & got ready for my week.

I did find this to be pretty funny considering Lion King is my favorite movie {if you follow me on insta sorry you've seen more of these}

Dear Friday,

Thank you for showing up finally. I felt like you were never going to come visit. Hurry up 2:30 - I want to be off work! 

Dear Alex,

Thanks for our "date" Wednesday but I think that was enough of going out & being a fatty! We have 12 days & I want to fit into my clothes BEFORE we go on the cruise because I know I won't fit into them after. 

Dear Cruise,

I am so excited for you but at the same time I am scared on how much weight I will gain & never lose. 

Dear Weight,

This is the heaviest I have EVER been. It really makes me depressed but come April 20th when I get home, It's game on. I have 88 days until 4th of July.. 

Dear Beach Camping,

I am praying we get a site because I really want to beach camp this year for the 4th. I think we deserve a good fun time & us trying to be responsible by camping there. 

Dear Hair cut,

I love it but it's only been one day. We will see how I like it in a few weeks..

I can't believe it is already hump day.

This week is just flying by but I couldn't be more thankful.

I had such a stressful day yesterday , Glad it's over & behind me. 

Onto the good stuff... 

We are 14 days away until I leave for a 4 day vacation to FINALLY relax some..

I sure hope I can relax & not stress about the things at home.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, and I work for a non-profit as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate. I posted a few weeks ago about the Rock the Denim Campaign that my agency is doing along with two other area non-profits. I want to encourage you to participate in Denim Day!

What is Denim Day?

In 1999 an Italian Supreme Court overturned the conviction of a 45 year old driving instructor for the rape of his 18 year old student. The reason cited was the girl’s clothing. It was determined that because she wore blue jeans the instructor could not have removed them without assistance, therefore she must have consented. People everywhere were outraged and within hours prominent women within the legal community were walking the courthouse in blue jeans to protest the decision. Since that time Denim Day in LA and the USA was born. Peace Over Violence, the agency behind Denim Day, centers this campaign around the fact that a woman’s choice of clothing is no excuse for rape.

How do you participate?

Easy Peasy. Wear Blue Jeans on April 24th and talk to people about the spirit of Denim Day! I'm asking bloggers to take a picture of themselves wearing blue jeans and post about Sexual Assault Awareness on April 24th. Display the button in your post and link-up to show support! How awesome would it be if the blogosphere went red on April 24th?

Weekend Update [V.13]

It's the first day of April!

Any big plans for this month?

I have some goals in mind but I know I leave for my cruise in 16 days!

I am no where ready in shape but just keep working at it. 

Friday

I was off of work so we did some house work than headed to my aunts to swim. 

Finally got my eye exam & got new glasses 

Did you see on insta? 

Burberrys & Tiffany & Co.

I am in love with them. 

I finally wore my hot pink skinnies with my camo shirt.

 & one lady even told me she wish she thought of the combination. 

We even managed to go to dinner at Red Robin. 

{I know not helping my diet}

When I got home, I found my beloved Zappos box.

This just means.. new wedges!

I did some homework.

Who assigns homework over Easter Break?

I curled my hair one last time before I chop it off this week!

Than we headed to my aunts for some Easter Dinner. 

Epic fail. No pictures of Alex & I. 

I know Easter 2013.. Maybe next year?

Sunday

Easter Sunday. 

Eli got to open his basket & I finished up some homework. 

Headed to my aunts again to hang out.

It was a relaxing day. 

2nd day curls & a gross sweatshirt. 

That's how I roll on Easter!
