Reaching out to you

Motto

Here I am again..Lost in the transition of wanting to work out and not feeling like I have the time to do so. I so badly want to lose this weight. I lost 10 lbs no problem and was on a mission to continue losing weight well than life happened. I stopped working out, I stopped caring what I ate, I went back to my old ways and while yes I have NOT gained any weight back yet, I am still very unhappy with where I am at.

How you do ladies do it? What keeps you going? I was so motivated for about a month or so. I did everything I could think of than BAM- slap in the face I stopped caring. I have seen my hard work disappear. I want that motivation back. I want to lose this weight to prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind too. I want to stop craving dr. pepper and I want to stop eating whatever is laying around.

This is me reaching out to ALL of you. Tell me what has worked for you? What hasn't worked for you? What do you tell yourself to keep motivated? What do you to keep pushing forward?

While school this semester is going to be VERY busy as I am student teaching at a preschool, plus working 3+ days at E mans old preschool, plus continue doing my day job and having a family. I know I need to schedule in this time but I always feel so guilty. I always rather sleep in, see friends, watch that movie, do extra work, and so forth.
As you can tell, I do NOT handle stress very well.
That is the end of my rant today

Hope you all have a beautiful Wednesday and make the most of it!

Happiness

I am hoping to remember this as so many times I fill my plate way more than I can handle

  1. I go to the gym with my husband 5-6 times a week. We both have short-term goals and most importantly long-term goals about what we want to accomplish.

He wants to be more muscular and ripped and want to lose extra body fat. I want to be muscular and compete next year. Having that goal (even though it is a year away or a little longer) allows me no time to slack off (since it takes longer to build muscle).

I find that once you stick to a routine rarely stray from it, unless you can't help it. We've probably taken off three weeks (not at once), due to vacationing. Once back, we got back into it.

I've also found journaling your workout each day is a great way to show progress and accountability.

  2. I do Focus T25, it is under 30 minutes and a really good workout that you do 5 days a week.

  4. I'm not speaking as an expert or anything but know that slip ups happen lady! Don't let it be the be all end all of your journey! Just because you lose your motivation for a week or two doesn't mean you're done! Come back harder and make up for lost time!

  5. One thing I found is that while I do not enjoy the gym, I enjoy being active. I try to do more things that involve a lot physical activity so when I'm not working out, I'm not sedentary. I'm not great at this but it's something I'm trying!

  6. OK, hard to put this in words and have it make sense, but I am going to try.

Push yourself harder. Make your mind challenge yourself.

Tell yourself. "OK, it's time to go to the gym. I don't want to, but I have too".

All it takes is that one time to push through when you did not want to do it.

Then after you'll feel great. And you will remember why previously you were doing so well. If you push yourself in the gym, you will feel better mentally, you will tone up your body, you will sleep better, and it is the best stress relief. Exercise does nothing but good in your life.

You just have to really push yourself. Once you start pushing yourself and you notice that you are feeling better, clothes are fitting better - that will be your motivation. That "high" of doing so well, will keep you pushing on.
