Baby Sister Turns 21 in Las Vegas

Oh Las Vegas.. What a fun weekend! It was blazing hot but totally worth it.

I can't believe it's already been a week since I have been home and trying to get back into real life.

When we go to Vegas, we go to have a good time! We stayed at Treasure Island and this was the first time we had a problem checking into our room. I was very unhappy with them but it all worked out in the end. I was still able to make a drink and hangout a bit. They did mention to us that they were sold out for the weekend.

My sister (the birthday girl), my aunt and myself drove the 5 hours to Vegas meanwhile the rest of my family and a few friends flew into Vegas since they all live in Minnesota and Florida.

The birthday girl didn't turn 21 until Sunday. So saturday after we all got settled into our rooms we just drank in there since I brought all of costco basically of drinks. She went out to the clubs after midnight with her friends.

Sunday we got a Cabana at the pool with the family. It was nice to not have to be in the baking sun all day knowing we had things to do that night.

Sunday night we had tickets to go see Thunder From Down Under. This was the 2nd time I've seen them and it was just as good as the first time.

We took a limo from Treasure Island to Excalibur with all 13 of us for dinner and the show.

We took the family to Dicks Last Resort. It was so funny seeing all their faces since most of them have never been and didn't understand why they were rude. Sister's hat said, "It may be my 21st birthday but candles isn't the only thing I am blowing tonight" and of course the balloon guy was there, so I had to have her get a man hat.

Monday we all relaxed and got another cabana by the pool.

Tuesday we drove home.

Over all, the weekend was a blast with the family and being an all girls trip.

Happy Birthday Baby Sister

I know you HATE this picture but we don't take new family pictures until later this year so you gotta live with it. That's the best part of being the older!

Happy Birthday Baby Sister!!

Yesterday you made your mark on the world.

You are officially 21 years old. I can't believe we can now go out to dinner and we will have to play paper, rock,scissors to see whose driving home.

I guess I could always just pull the I'm older than you, so I win card but I think the games way more fun.Plus, I think I owe you a few times since you have been driving me home safely for over a year.

Not to mention, you can actually order a beer with me and you can buy your drinks. #winning

I hope you had an amazing weekend in Vegas and it was everything and more you could ever want in a birthday weekend. I am not sure what you really want to be honest.

This is just the beginning of what the world has to offer so please take it slow and stop and enjoy the flowers. Enjoy long nights with family and friends drinking cold beer & telling stories and sleeping in just a bit to nurse a hang over.

Always say sorry to your liver though from what you did the night before and remember that spirit from fountain, a rodeo cheeseburger from burger king with tater tots from sonic is the best cure to all hangovers.

All jokes aside, I am so excited to watch you to continue to grow into a beautiful young woman that you are.

I know you will do amazing things with your life and the future is yours to explore.

I love you baby sister always!

Weekend Fun + Lots Of Pictures

Hey Tuesday! Nice to see ya here and moving right along. I know I should of posted my weekend fun yesterday but I was so busy that I just decided to do

it today. The best part of being the words/face behind the blog is I get to decide when to post.

It's my oh damn it's Tuesday face already...Monday was a busy day. Work, gym, baseball, and more. Also I am still catching up on sleep after the time change, I feel like the days just fly by now.

Let's chat weekend

Friday: Bandit started thyroid pills. As long as he doesn't have cancer and or another life threatening illness we should be good to go for a few more years with him. I changed up his diet too. Let's watch the fat melt off him now.

Saturday: It was a breathe of fresh air. The boys went out to the desert to meet my dad. That gave sister and I a day of no responsibilities. We lived up to it too.

We left the house around 10 am to go by the coffee truck, than it was off to massages and shopping. Did I shop? I don't think I need anymore clothes probably until Christmas. I did find some jeans though that go over my booty and fit the waist finally..

and you see those nasty teal nails.. I finally got them fixed. They are now hot pink!

Sunday: I was up super early. Hubby slept in because he wasn't home until late. It was grocery shopping day, we hit our usual Trader Joe's & Costco.

We were home all before 10am! Which is record timing for us because normally it's an all day event. I am not really sure what I am going to eat this week but I do know fish tacos will be made again.

Also because it was Sunday and the time changed, I thought it should be celebrated. I drank that Cran-Rita and took a 2 hour nap. I would call it a successful Sunday.

I managed to get my fish oil and mutli ready for the week too! Sometimes it's the simple things that matter to make it that much easier. Also, I get excited when I open like Friday because I know the weekend is here.

This is Simba's new favorite spot to sleep. He is high enough away from Cali trying to eat him and he just hangs out.

There was my busy weekend. I hate how fast they go but I am ready to make this week awesome!

Weekend: Shopping || Birthday Party || Time out

What a weekend! I am actually ready for a new week and new beginnings. I got new homework from my nutritionist and I am changing up the food plan this week.

My weekend looked a lot like this

Friday: My baby girl was super tired. Makes two of us. All I could think about Friday was sleeping.

I had to buy this tank. I immediately thought of Liz & her new movement of #fearless

I came home to this card from the hubby. I couldn't help but laugh.

Saturday: Sister & I got up early. Cleaned the house. Hit the gym. Meet the Nutritionist.

Also, it was her 20th Birthday & we were having a BBQ at the house

Sunday: Started off real rough. Cali attacked my bird (she got in BIG trouble) and all day she was just depressed. We went to Costco & got ready for the week.

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's out there.

That Time I Drove From Minnesota To California

I made it home. We are officially back in Cali and my sister is officially living with me.

Last week was great visiting family & being there to pack Cy up to move out. We left Minnesota at 2:11am (PST) on Friday & we pulled into my driveway at 6:58am (PST) on Saturday.

The road trip it self wasn't that bad. It is extremely boring east of Denver just as I remember. Once we made it through Denver though it was beautiful. Snow everywhere, hills, mountains and a lot more to look at than plain flat land.

We spent Saturday relaxing & enjoying the fact we made it home safe. No problems. Than we all took naps, had a yummy dinner and got ready for the week as we are back to the grind!
