Saddest Post Ever - R.I.P Bandito

Happy President's Day!
I hope you get the day off & enjoy it. 

I am just popping in to say Thank you for the sweet comments about my dog on here  but with the saddest of hearts, I had to put him down Saturday night right in the middle of making Valentine's Day dinner. It sucked, it's hard, and I miss him more! 

He was a fighter. He had cancer back in May and we had it removed to confirm it was truly cancer. The vet told me it would come back because it had spread throughout and she couldn't get it all. It was just a matter of when. I told myself, if he lives until October than it was all worth it. I was actually nervous leaving him for a week because normally he wouldn't eat or anything. He survived. We had fun. He went on lots of car rides, lots of treats and lots of love. 

Sadly, his cancer came back. He was all bruised from it, he wouldn't lay down anymore, he stopped eating and barking and I was feeling horrible for keeping him alive because I wanted him. 

He crossed the Rainbow bridge Saturday night & I know he's up there with my cat Tiger and other dog we put down in 2007, Bj. Give lots of love to them Bandito, I am sure going to miss you lots!

Reasons I Decided Today Would Be a Good Day

ps. she looks like she hasn't been brushed her but I promise she has been groomed since this picture. 

Today is the day. My baby girl Cali is going to get her woman hood taken from her! 

Reasons why I decided to get her fixed

-Have you ever smelt a dog in heat? They smell so bad. 

-I have all male dogs ever (she's my first female) & I am not sure I can deal with the blood everywhere 

-Our friends female dog bleed through her bed and wasn't a fan of the diaper, this is NOT okay with me. 

-If we did decide to breed her I would need to get her DNA test to make sure she was 100% husky 

-On that note: the vet she went to Friday doesn't think she is 100% 

-Let's say we had puppies, I would be that crazy fur mama asking people where they live? What do they do during the day? What are their plans with the puppy? Do they know what husky's like to do? Any wrong answers would lead me to many more puppies at my house because I don't want to just give them to anyone.

-I fall in love with puppies so easy it would be hard to place them in homes and let them go 

-if you fix your female dog while she is in heat it cost twice as much as just waiting until after heat (I don't even want to deal with one heat cycle) 

-the biggest reason I am fixing her: When she goes to boarding next month she gets to play in the day camp with all the other dogs. 

If you find time today, please say a little prayer for her that her fixing goes well and she heals quickly. This is a first for me to have female dog so I am hoping it's just as easy as the males.

It happened today! 

Dear World,

Today is the day I officially become Mrs. Gardner to everything in our life!! Only thing left to change is my passport for our Honeymoon which is 125 days away! 

Dear Honeymoon,

I am so excited for you. I am ready to just spend some time with the hubby. 

Dear Hubby,

I love you. Thank you for everything that you do. You surely are amazing. 

Dear Kay,

Hope everything goes well today for you. Rest up so we can celebrate Eli's birthday next week together. 

Dear Little Sister,

This time NEXT week, we will be waking up from a fun day celebrating Eli's birthday. I can't wait. I am so excited that you are officially spending Christmas & New Years with me, I can't remember the last time we celebrated both together in the same house!! 

Dear Eli,

I can't believe you will be turning 5 next week. Where is all this time going? I feel like it was just yesterday we were playing and I just met you, that was almost 3 years ago!!! Keep being amazing & I know you will turn into such an amazing young man. So proud to call you my son!!! 

Dear Christmas,

I think I took you a bit over board this year for a few reasons but I feel it is all well deserved! I can't wait to celebrate you. 

Dear end of 2012,

I have so many fun things planned with some of my favorite people in the world. Please slow down so I can enjoy it all and take it all in. Thank you. 

Dear Junior,

Lately you've been making me sad because I know you are getting old but I am not ready to let you go just yet. You are the last of my childhood with dogs and I want to be selfish just a bit longer. I love you so much, please don't ever forget that!!!

Saying See You Later...

It is one of the hardest things to do for me...

how about you?

I hate it..I even hate it more when its a bond with an animal. 

They can't speak but know a way into your heart. deep down in there & it never leaves

You might remember, a few weeks ago my brother came down from Sacramento & brought my fur-nephew Indy. 

I always knew that after these weeks he would be heading back home with him..

That time has come & I am just not ready for him to leave... 

Look at that sweet sweet face. How do you say no to that?

I didn't. I pretty much spoiled him like any aunt would do.

He got rib bones, snacks, treats, lots of loving, car rides and even toys. 

I am going to miss...

The howling and growling in his sleep

the hard hit of his tail when he gets excited to see you

the running up to me at the gate looking like he smiles

car rides with a dog the size of a horse in my little jetta 

the kisses

the love he shared with me. 

&& so much much more.

Please come back & sleep on the bed ANYTIME you want.. 

sooner than later...

or you can sleep on your own bed that you are just too big for but I love it just because you are inside with me. 

the hardest part... I am not sure who is going to miss you more...

that buddy of yours...Trigger! 

  Who will get in trouble with him while he chews on everything..who will he chase around the yard..or play tug a war with..who will sleep with him in the dog house 

what dog will share a bowl of dog food with him and even a bone? Run up n down the grove & all over the road... you two made a bond.. 

Indy,

I love you as more than just my fur-nephew but as my own. I always will & will always want you here. I know I gotta do what is right & that is to allow you to go home, but PLEASE come back & visit me for my wedding for a long period of time. It will make my wedding that much sweeter for me {as selfish as that sounds} 

stay a puppy forever.
