Next Step: Morning Pages

I shared with you all the five steps that my nutritionist wants me to incorporate into my daily life.  I will be the first to admit. It is not easy to do these things and retrain yourself.

I am that girl that wants ice cream and cookies at all hours of the days, but than again that is how I got to where I am at currently. Yet,the best part of this journey is I am learning. I am learning to do things in a healthy manner this time around. I am learning that I do not need that ice cream and cookie. I am learning so much about myself.

The next part of my homework/ steps to improve my life is a simple thing she calls Morning pages

It is just as it sounds. Find a journal you enjoy. Grab your favorite pens. Place both beside your bed before you go to sleep. When your alarm clock goes off, shut it off and grab the notebook and pens (this should be the first thing you do in the morning even before getting a drink of water, yes you may go to the bathroom but than hurry back). Begin to write whatever your heart is telling you. Whatever you feel you want to write. (maybe even a blog post will bloom from this) You can write about what frustrates you, about your happiness, about your day ahead of you, what you are thankful for, really it is all up to you. Write as if no one is going to read this notebook.

I am not a morning person even more so at 4:30 in the morning when I need to get up for work so a lot of my morning pages start off with " F*%$ YOU MORNING PAGES!"

The idea behind morning pages is that it will release some of your stress in your life. Stress is what is holding onto extra fat you don't want. You can throw this away each day, you can burn them, or you can keep them to reflect later.

She wants me to try this for 2 months. I want you to try it with me for 2 months to see where our journey can go from here!

In the end, it is all about finding what makes you happy.
